Timmons to decide between two

After taking four of his recruiting trips, Lake City (Fla.) Columbia standout cornerback George Timmons has narrowed his list down to two.

"I know where I'm going and it's between North Carolina and Miami," Timmons said. "I won't really announce that until Wednesday when we do our signings."

Timmons took recruiting trips to both schools in addition to Florida and South Florida. Now he's down to two.

"Those are the two I felt most comfortable with," he said. "It's gonna be one of those two. North Carolina has been on me all along and they seem real interested. Miami kinda got in late but they have a great program and I loved my visit there. After my visit, I was leaning to them but now it's even."

The talented cornerback prospect received in-home visits from both programs last week.

"Coach Soldinger from Miami came by and was just talking to me and Rashaun (Jones)," he said. "He was going over some stuff that we had discussed. He's real interested, thinks I can come in there and help them out. They have a lot of great players."

Teammate Rashaun Jones, reportedly, dropped UNC from consideration late last week. Will that play a role in his decision.

"We've talked about going together and stuff like that," he said. "I guess we just have to wait and see on Wednesday."
