Hall to South Carolina

<i>Inside Carolina</i> has learned that highly sought after Forest Hills (N.C.) lineman Marque Hall has committed to South Carolina. Hall is the No. 1 prospect in the state according to <i>TheInsiders.com</i>.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder, chose the Gamecocks over UNC. He also strongly considered Tennessee, Virginia Tech and N.C. State. "It all came down to who I was most comfortable with," Hall told Inside Carolina. It came down to USC and UNC."

Hall, ranked No. 58 nationally by TheInsiders.com, was the Defensive Player of the Year in the 2-A Rocky River conference both as a junior and a senior, and was all-conference four years in a row.

"After he lost 60 pounds since last year, his quickness has dramatically increased, his stamina his explosiveness has increased," said TheInsiders.com regional expert, Miller Safrit, who ranks Hall the top player in the state. "It shows his dedication and desire to be the best."
