IC Updates on DL/TE Moe Thompson and UNC Verbal Victor Worsley

Moe Thompson Update-11/6/01

Inside Carolina recently caught up with South Carolina Defensive Lineman/Tight End Moe Thompson. Moe's High School (Stratford) football team's regular season is completed and they are now in the playoffs. Stratford finished the regular season at 10-1. Moe had approximately 100 tackles on defense with 5 sacks and 10 touchdowns from his TE position.

He listed his favorites as South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida State over Clemson and Georgia Tech. Moe had this to say about his three favorites:

South Carolina – " I like the coaching staff and the campus is nice. They also have a good tradition."

North Carolina – " They were my favorite team growing up. I've met Coach Caldwell and talked to Coach Bunting over the phone and I like them both. I look forward to taking my official visit."

Florida State – "They are a little too far away from my house (6-8 hours). I'll have to see if I want to live that far away from home."

Moe plans to set up his official visits after the season. The South Carolina championship game is December 2. Look for him to make plans after that date unless his team is eliminated before. He expects to visit Chapel Hill in January.

Victor Worsley Update-11/6/01

Vicctor Worsley's football team has made the state playoffs with a 7-3 record. Victor also has approximately 100 tackles for the year to go along with three sacks and one interception from his linebacker position. He is still solidly committed to UNC and plans to attend this week's game with Wake Forest (unofficial visit). His family also has a nickname for him (Buke, rhymes with Luke). His friends don't call him that (at least while he is around).
