NCAA Friday: UT guard Royal Ivey

DENVER, Colo. -- Ivey addressed the media prior to Saturday's game with UNC.

On the difference Brian Boddicker makes when he is hitting threes:
"When he is hot, he is unstoppable. He's a great three-point shooter, so we look for him to hit open threes and bring energy to our team."

On playing UNC:
"We are playing against a high octane offense. They like to get up and down and that's what we like to do, too. I think it's going to be a high scoring game. We look to our bench more than North Carolina, so I think that is our key. They have great players and a great starting five. They like to get up and down the floor, they have a great guard play and they are versatile."

On the intensity perception of Rick Barnes:
"He's intense, but he love what he does, and he refuses to back down. He really wants a win, and he is willing to put everything out there on the line, which is why we do what we do."

On Brandon Mouton:
"We are good friends on and off the court. I think he's been through a lot since his first year, and he has challenged Coach Barnes into getting him on the floor. He (Mouton) is a great leader, and he has really stepped it up. He leads by example and he wants to win, which I admire a lot. Brandon also plays whether he is feeling good or bad, and I respect that about him."
