Target 2005: Sam Kidd

Morganton (N.C.) Freedom linebacker Sam Kidd might not have any offers on the table yet, but that hasn't stopped the 6-2, 220-pounder who owns a 4.57 forty-time from scoping outa number of campuses.

"I have been to Junior Days at N.C. State, and Clemson," stated Kidd. "I went to football games last year at North Carolina, Tennessee, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech."

Kidd, who was an invitee for Tom Lemming's annual national photo shot, really enjoyed his stops in Raleigh and Clemson, especially how close both campuses were to home.

"I liked State, it's in a good environment and it's kind of close to home. It's real nice over there. About the same for Clemson, where their campus is its real close, my parents can come watch me play."

Right now, Kidd isn't concerned with narrowing thing down. He wants to wait things out and see what opportunities arise.

"No sir, I don't have a favorite. It's just where ever I get offered to go to school. I do want to go where I feel comfortable, because I have to live there for four years."

Kidd led the Freedom defense last year from his linebacker position where he helped earn a 7-3 record last year and 10-3 record his sophomore year.
