Boone attends Spring Game

While most attendees headed to the Tar Heels' Spring Game this past Saturday hoping they would hear the magic words "You have an offer," Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith quarterback Greg Boone already had one in hand.

Therefore, the 6-foot-4, 245-pound field general just sat back, relaxed and enjoy the game, while also evaluating North Carolina's offensive scheme.

"It went fine," stated Boone. "I met the coaches and met my position coach. I liked the coaches and I liked the style of the offense. They talked to me about their quarterback situation and stuff."

Boone, who claims no leaders or even a short list, is eying visits to Blacksburg and College Park for Virginia Tech's and Maryland's spring games. He plans to use his experiences during his spring games tour to narrow things down.

"Right now I don't have a leader," stated Boone. "I'll try to narrow it down by May, though."

Boone did admit he will be considering his offering schools which include Maryland, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, and Michigan as well as the Heels.
