Target 2005: Jayson White

Jayson White (6-2, 220, 4.50) plays both fullback and safety for Erie McDowell HS (Erie, PA). He compiled just over a 1000 yards rushing, and 18 touchdowns in his junior season.

White's hard work resulted in the following awards: 1st Team All-Allegheny, 1st Team All-Metro, and was invited to the US Army All-Star Jr. Combine.

Jayson just received his first scholarship offer this past week from North Carolina and is currently drawing interest from Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia, Akron, Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, and Michigan State, Duke, Virginia, and Maryland.

"At this time I don't have an early top five, I'm just going to weigh out all my options."

"My family and I just recently returned from a trip from visiting some of the schools that have shown interest in me. We made it to the following schools; Notre Dame, Cincinnati, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Duke, and Maryland. For the rest of the spring, Jayson hopes make to several other schools spring games."

Jayson plans on waiting till after the season is over to make his decision.

When ask to describe what his looking for in a school Jayson's response was, "The football programs, weight rooms, education, and how the coaches treat the players."

White currently doesn't have a team camp on his summer schedule, but he does have plans to the Metro Index camp that is located in Pittsburgh, Pa.
