UNC Adds Bryon Bishop To Football Signing Class

Bryon Bishop, a 6-3, 295-pound lineman from Union, S.C., has signed a scholarship agreement to play football at the University of North Carolina. Bishop played offensive and defensive line at Union High School.

"We're excited to add a player of this caliber to our recruiting class so late in the process," said head coach John Bunting. "Bryon is a talented player who could help us at either offensive line or defensive line. Coach (Andre') Powell did a great job recruiting Bryon and we look forward to having Bryon join us in August."

Bishop played at Union for three seasons and was a starter as a junior and senior. Although he played most of his career on the defensive line, Bishop switched to offensive tackle as a senior. He had 60 tackles and six sacks as a junior.
