Richard Hendrix update

There is little that is unknown about Richard Hendrix. Although he's soft-spoken, he's also always been the type to say exactly what's on his mind and, therefore, most everyone knew that Alabama was the leader for his services.

And Hendrix admits that one school – North Carolina – hasn't made this decision easy.

"I planned on making the decision sometime before next season, but I never thought it would be this hard," Hendrix said.

"I wouldn't say that Alabama is way out in front anymore," he added. "I would say that North Carolina is showing me a lot of reasons to really consider them. I'm going to take visits to both schools so I can compare the two schools."

Hendrix will take an official visit to Chapel Hill at the end of this month and is still in the final stages of setting up an official trip to nearby Alabama.

Hendrix was arguably the best player at Boo Williams earlier this month in leading his Alabama Lasers to the title in the silver division. Hendrix admits he was happy with his performance, but wasn't completely satisfied.

"I know I can do a whole lot more," he said. "I wish we had played better in pool play against the Georgia Stars, but if I've not mistaken, those guys have been playing together for a while – and most of our guys are still learning to play with each other."
