Bobby Frasor Update

Inside Carolina continues to follow Bobby Frasor's recruitment since Roy Williams offered a scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina.

Bobby Frasor hasn't etched it in stone whether he'll take an official visit to Chapel Hill just yet – but the brand-new North Carolina recruiting target will take an unofficial one to UNC after the Tournament of Champions later this month.

Frasor just returned Sunday from his first official visit to Marquette. The only other one scheduled is for Stanford on May 21. The remaining three visits will come from UNC, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Notre Dame and Michigan State.

After the 6-3, 180-pound combo guard dominated against Team Texas in a game in which Roy Williams was watching Calvin Miles, Frasor wondered whether the Tar Heels would start to recruit him seriously.

``The next four games Coach Williams was at every one," Frasor said. "Then when I got back he called my dad and offered me a scholarship."

After Frasor returned home, he then went through a handful of in-school visits – including one from Williams.

``The presentation was similar to the other schools, but Coach Williams is a real class guy and I'll probably unofficially visit them after the Tournament of Champions."

However, Frasor did maintain that UNC is no further ahead – or behind – the other schools under consideration.

``The reason I like them is because it's Carolina," Frasor added. "They have so much tradition and (Michael) Jordan and (James) Worthy went there. It's Carolina blue. It's such a basketball school."

We'll have more later this week on Carolina's newest target from Bobby Frasor's high school coach, Pat Richardson, and his coach with the Illinois Wolves, Mike Mullins.
