Injury Note: Jeff Newton, a 6-9 junior who had been diagnosed with a broken cheekbone two days ago, was reevaluated and told it's merely "cracked," so he is now expected to see some action versus UNC. "He'll play Wednesday and we'll see how he feels out there," IU head coach Mike Davis told the Indianapolis Star on Tuesday. "You never know how hard somebody is going to go after an injury like that. He may be timid or tentative, you just never know." Newton has averaged 8.3 points and 2.5 rebounds through the first four games.
