Hansbrough admitted that the recent trip was better than his official visit a few months back, partially because of the weather and also because he had a chance to connect with the players and coaching staff.
"My dad really liked it a lot and so did I," he added. "I got a chance to know the staff much better and felt more comfortable with them. Getting a chance to know Roy Williams better was important."
However, Hansbrough isn't quite ready to make a decision. In fact, he was still noncommittal whether he'll take a visit to Kentucky, but said that an announcement won't be made until July.
"I'm still keeping my options open," he said. "I think I'll wait until July."
Hansbrough also got the opportunity to hang out and play pickup with the players.
"I enjoyed it a lot and liked playing with the guys," he said. "They're pretty good -- real good. I thought I played all right."
Hansbrough will relax and work out in Poplar Bluff until the Elite Nike Skills Camp later this month. He will not attend the NBA Players Association Camp because of a prior engagement.
