Rome hopes for snowball effect

With a head held high, Bobby Rome is confident more offers will come. The Norfolk (Va.) Granby quarterback has two offers, and plans camp with three schools hoping to show them something they like to see.

Bobby Rome Profile

"I got two offers so far, one from Kent State and one from James Madison," says the 6-foot-1, 205 pounder. "I'm about to go to the Penn State camp this week, I'm still attending the camp at (Virginia) Tech next month, and I am going to the North Carolina camp, too."

Rome lists all those schools plus a few more in his favorites list.

"I have a list of top schools. In no particular order, they are North Carolina, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Virginia, Kent State, and Penn State."

So what is it the schools want to see at the camp?

"All the schools I just named talked about how they did not want to see much, just to take a look in-person. They said they really do not want to see much, just they are all recruiting the same guys. I was not on the early offer list due to my height, because they want the big, tall QBs. There are only a few quarterbacks that are that size, so once one commits, they all are going to want me to play for them."

If one were to offer, could Rome make a commitment soon thereafter?

"I'll probably want to wait off a little bit, because once one school offers, usually the others go."

The snowball effect.
