Heels watch Grant

The Tar Heel staff got their first look at Damion Grant on Thursday.

Assistant coach Doug Wojcik traveled to Wolfeboro, N.H. to watch the 7-1, 245-pound Brewster Academy center during practice.

After watching Grant, UNC has decided to continue to evaluate him this season, according to IC's Zeke Martins. The staff had yet to see Grant prior to Thursday and made the trip to gauge whether they'd continue to recruit him.

The Manchester (N.H.) Union Leader was on-hand for UNC's afternoon of scouting and wrote a good profile (except for some incorrect info about Rashad McCants).

When [Grant] walked into practice last night, University of North Carolina assistant Doug Wojcik was waiting with his clipboard. Wojcik flew into Manchester and drove an hour to watch practice and some videotape.
