Big Richmond athlete likes Heels

Six-foot-seven, 247-pound Richard Graham, a senior basketball and football player at St. Christopher's High School in Richmond, was pleased with his experience at UNC camp this weekend. He didn't leave Chapel Hill with an offer, but with his size and 4.8-speed, that could come soon.

"I loved it; it was awesome," Richard Graham told Inside Carolina from his home Sunday. "It was definitely everything I was looking for in a school for sure."

Graham said the Tar Heels are looking at him as an athlete "type," which could play tight end, tackle or possibly defensive line.

He is recovering from an ankle injury and was limited physically on Saturday, but is returning this Saturday for UNC's Blue Chip Day.

"I've been unable to run since May because of my ankle, but they told me they were very interested in me and that I'm being recruited really heavily.," Graham said.

Graham has no written offers currently, but he thinks Connecticut will offer during an upcoming visit.

"As far my favorites, I would say that UNC and Vanderbilt are right there at the top."
