Ghee returns from UNC visit

Fayetteville quarterback Brandon Ghee visited Chapel Hill over the weekend for the Tar Heels "Blue Chip," a.k.a. Academic Day. On Sunday, he spoke with Inside Carolina.

"It went pretty well," Ghee said in a telephone interview from his home. "We took a tour of the campus. We talked academics and football with the coaches."

Ghee has a sizable list of suitors including UNC, Clemson, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Duke, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.

"I should have things narrowed down to the top 5 schools in about two weeks, he said."

Ghee says it is doubtful that he will wait until Sgning Day to make a decision. In fact, it is doubtful that he will take all his official visits.

"I imagine that I will decide after my first or second official visit. I pretty much know what I am looking for although I'm not ready to make it public."

During Ghee's visit he was particularly impressed with one of the Tar Heel coaches.

"I liked his honesty," Ghee said of co-defensive coordinator Marvin Sanders. "We had a good conversation as he talked about how they ran the secondary at North Carolina."

Ghee has two more unofficial visits prior to the start of the season. He plans on a visit to Wake Forest this coming weekend and is scheduled to visit Clemson after that.
