Graham revisits Chapel Hill

Big Richard Graham of Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher's School was among the prospects that made the trip to Chapel Hill Saturday for the Tar Heels' Blue Chip Day. However, the 6-foot-7, 247-pound tight end admits that the visit benefited his mother more so than himself.

"It was nice," Graham told Inside Carolina on Sunday. "I kind of saw everything that I saw before, because I have seen stuff at camp. Like they took us on the same tour, and we watched some of the same films. It was more for my Mom. My Mom got to learn a lot of stuff about the school."

Mom also had an opportunity to speak to Coach John Bunting one-on-one regarding Graham's offer status. The three-year coach had some positive information to relay to the Grahams.

"Coach Bunting told my Mom that they are going to be recruiting me really, really hard all the way up until the end."

Despite the lack of an offer, Graham currently lists the Tar Heels along with Vanderbilt as his leaders citing academic reputation and quality personnel as the major advantages.

"I really like the coaching staff like as people," stated Graham. "I really like the school in terms of the academic side of it and they are in the ACC. Also [the campus] is only two and a half hours away from my house."

Although Graham has a few more unofficial visits left on his schedule, he realizes its time to play the waiting game. He has put on some good weight as well as trimmed down his forty-yard dash time, and hopes a few good early season performances will equal stops by the FedEx truck.
