New Hampton cruises, next up: FUMA

Rashad McCants had another quality all-around game against Northfield Mount Hermon on Wednesday night, scoring 18 points and hauling down seven boards in an easy 109-73 victory.

McCants, who also finished with three assists and had one steal, has helped the team get off to a 4-0 start. However, New Hampton's toughest test to date should come this weekend in a matchup with Fort Union Military Academy tonight at 8:30 and then either Bridgton Academy or Hargrave Military Academy on Saturday night. Inside Carolina will be in attendance, so expect a full report.

McCants was one of five players in double figures for Jamie Arsenault's club. Wes Miller, a heady point guard who McCants said may walk-on at UNC, led the club with 22 points.

Next week we will be sure to get McCants' assessment of senior center target Damion Grant, when the pair square off on Dec. 15 at Brewster Academy.
