"It went pretty good," Bynum said. "I liked it up there. Coach [Jim] Calhoun is a great man and he showed me around. The facilities are real nice and I liked the gym. I also met with Josh Boone and he seemed real cool."
The Huskies set the bar pretty high for the 6-11 center, and it's up to the remaining schools to impress him further.
"I've already been to UConn, so if someone can beat UConn that could put them in the lead," Bynum said. "There's a chance I commit before I take all my official visits."
Only two other schools have visited scheduled -- Georgia the first weekend of October and North Carolina for Late Night with Roy Williams on Oct. 15.
"There's not really a set order right now," Bynum said. "The schools that are leading right now are UConn, North Carolina and Georgia. The others [Rutgers and Ga Tech] still have a chance."
All five will have in-home visits with the St. Joseph's standout.
Bynum is keeping an eye on each schools' recruiting efforts and took note of the commitment of Tyler Hansbrough to North Carolina last week.
"He's a friend of mine, so I think that's good," Bynum said. "He chose the place that he liked the most, but I don't think it will have that much of an impact on my decision."
In fact, Hansbrough has called Bynum since committing.
"He told me about how much he loves the coach [at UNC]," Bynum said. "He asked me if things were still going well and if I was still considering [UNC]."
