After visits to North Carolina's team camp and Blue Chip Day, and a visit to the Virginia Tech campus, Wilson labored over his decision for a couple weeks before realizing he wanted to be a Tar Heel.
"I'm done with recruiting," he said. "I do not plan on taking any other official visits."
Wilson credits the Carolina coaching staff for closing the deal.
"Coach Browning did a great job recruiting me," he said.
As for projected position in college, he plays mostly linebacker and quarterback for Brunswick, but most likely will translate into an outside linebacker or possibly a tight end on the collegiate level.
"They want me either as a linebacker or H-back," said Wilson, who runs a 4.60-second forty-yard dash.
Brunswick opens its season on Friday against defending state champion Sussex Central.
