Wooldridge Suspended, McGill Doubtful

Head coach John Bunting announced Tuesday that sophomore punter David Woolridge has been suspended for Saturday's game and starting running back Ronnie McGill is listed as doubtful.

"David Wooldridge has been suspended for the Louisville game for conduct detrimental to the team," Bunting said.

Wooldridge has averaged 44.4 yards per punt this season, putting six punts inside the 20. He will be replaced this Saturday against Louisville by untested freshman walk-on punter John Choate.

McGill suffered a sprained ankle in last week's win over Georgia Tech. He has totaled 228 yards, at 5.6 yards per carry, including four touchdowns. Jacque Lewis, coming off a career-best 164 yards last week, is expected to start if McGill can't go and Bunting said freshman back Vince Wilson will be added to the depth chart.

"Ronnie right now looks doubtfull to me," Bunting said. "Ankle sprain - I know he won't practice today, I'm doubtful he'll practice tomorrow so therefore he's doubtful in my mind for the game. Vince Wilson will work with the offense and we'll get him ready to play."
