Guy to attend Saturday's game

With Chapel Hill set to host the big rivalry game against NC State this Saturday, many of the region's top division I-A prospects will flock to Kenan Stadium to soak in a game that will – in one way or another – factor into their final college decision.

West Charlotte athlete Trenton Guy, who owns a North Carolina scholarship but is also looking into NC State, will be among those prospects looking for something to sway him either way. The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder plans to focus on the game and its atmosphere more then the facilities UNC has to offer as this won't be his first trip to the North Carolina campus.

"I went to Chapel Hill for a camp," explained Guy. "And I have been up there a couple times running track. I like the facility and I like everything up there. I like everybody, I like all the coaches, and I like how they run the program. I just have to look into what sort of classes they are going to offer me."

The North Carolina coaching staff has been in constant contact with Guy. However, Guy's athletic ability – a true 4.40 forty-yard dash speed – makes it difficult to place Guy in a position other than returner.

"I talk to Coach [Gunter] Brewer all the time," remarked Guy. "He just talks to me about my grades and saying that they really want me to come there. He doesn't really talk about what position they want me for -- I think DB. He had talked about return man before, but didn't really go into detail."

Guy plays "almost everything" for West Charlotte, but starts at wide receiver, while also returning kickoffs and punts. Guy will most likely play cornerback at the collegiate level.
