Wed. Decision

Andrew Bynum,'s No. 14 prospect, will make his decision this Wednesday. Bynum confirmed the news with <i>Inside Carolina</i>'s national analyst Dave Telep on Sunday night after returning from his official visit to Connecticut.

Metuchen (N.J.) St. Joseph's center Andrew Bynum said on Sunday evening that he is ready to make his college decision.

"I'm going to decide on my birthday," said Bynum, who will turn only 17. "That's this Wednesday."

Bynum, the No. 1 center and No. 14 overall prospect, has trimmed his list to Connecticut, North Carolina and Georgia Tech.

Bynum said that he has eliminated Georgia.

The center said that he had not reached a firm decision in his mind as of Sunday night but said that he's holding himself to making a decision mid-week.

He did, however, indicate which visit stood out.

"UConn did," explained Bynum. "I liked the system. Calhoun is real down to earth and he's kind of laid back and that's more kind of like my personality."

Whoever is fortunate enough to land Bynum is going to find that they've landed one of the real gems in this class. Not only is he the best center in the class but he's got so much room to grow. By turning just 17 this week, he's the equivalent of a high school junior.
