Smalls Enjoys 'Great Atmosphere'

North Carolina was not in Hugenot (Richmond, Va.) defensive back Sean Smalls' Top 5 as of Friday. However, things changed after he visited Chapel Hill for the first time to catch the Miami game.

"I really enjoyed the game in Chapel Hill," Sean Smalls said. "It was really exciting with a great atmosphere. I did not have much of a chance to talk to the coaches except for Coach Powell. I talked to him for a little bit.

"After last night I believe that Carolina will move up into my Top 5.

Smalls has at least ten offers from such schools as Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, UCLA, and of course North Carolina. He is considered the No. 28 safety in the nation by, although some schools like him as a cornerback.

"The good thing about North Carolina is that it is not that far away from home," Smalls said. "I will probably wait until after the season to schedule my official visits, but I am pretty sure that North Carolina will get one."
