Cottman All But Committed

Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic wide receiver Rahmir Cottman is all but verbally committed to North Carolina. After mulling over the decision for about a month, the 6-foot-3, 170-pounder has decided to give the Tar Heels' coaching staff his verbal commitment the next time a member of the staff contacts him.

"I'll most likely commit by the end of this week," remarked Rahmir Cottman. "I'll probably just do it when the coach calls me and I'll probably just tell him over the phone. He's going to call me this week, though."

When Cottman runs down his list of things important to him in his future school, he comes to the conclusion that North Carolina is the right school for him.

"I like the whole atmosphere, the campus, the school, the coaches, the weather," explained Cottman. "It's a perfect fit."

Louisville and Kent State round out Cottman's offer sheet. He admits he will only consider the Cardinals or Golden Flashes if something falls through with the Tar Heels.

Cottman's senior season, which just concluded with a playoff loss Friday, resulted in the Scout.com two-star prospect recording 39 catches for 839 yards and nine touchdowns.
