McKeen Begins Visits

Players are not supposed to receive offers left and right once the official visit season starts to take place. However, that is just the case with Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School defensive lineman Shea McKeen as more and more schools continue to offer.

"They have sort of been rolling in; it has been real good," said the 6-foot-5, 255-pounder of the scholarship offers. "It's up in the teens now, I think. It is going now in the order that I sent tapes."

While the offers are piling up, he is trying to focus on where to take his trips, of which there are three scheduled.

"I have set up three visits, and I'm waiting on the other two to see if I get other offers in the next couple of weeks," he said.

"But I have North Carolina, Purdue, and Miami set up right now. North Carolina is this weekend, Purdue is the 10th (of December), and Miami is January 14th."

Is McKeen planning on making a commitment on one of the trips?

"I'm really going to try not to, but if I could see myself being there and I love the place, then there is a possibility of it," he said. "I don't think I would."

Since this interview, conducted last night, McKeen added an offer from the top ranked team in the nation -- Southern Cal.
