Heels Go In-Home with Hannah

Hope Mills (N.C.) South View tight end Jonathan Hannah welcomed members of the North Carolina coaching staff into his home Monday in what turned out to be a very positive in-home visit.

"It went great," explained Hannah. "Coach [John] Bunting and Coach [Hal] Hunter just talked about how they wanted only one true tight end [for the 2005 recruiting class] and I was that. We talked about everything -- life, academics. It was just a great all around visit."

The UNC coaching staff also continues to try and win one of Hannah's remaining official visit slots.

"Yes we did [talk about an official visit]," remarked Hannah, who will choose between Georgia, N.C. State, and South Carolina as well as the Heels for his last three official visits. "And if I do decide to [officially visit UNC] it will be the weekend when they play Miami in basketball [Jan. 21-22]."

Overall, the visit had little effect on his favorites list as Hannah has developed a solid relationship and comfort level with the coaching staff already.

"These guys have recruited me for three years," said Hannah. "I feel so comfortable around them. I think that UNC will be there in my recruitment until the end."

Hannah will host N.C. State for his second in-home visit later this week.
