Heels Go In-Home with Virgil

Rocky Mount (N.C.) safety Stephan Virgil is inching closer to making a decision, and now has a set of things he wants from the right school, and even has a possible commitment timeframe.

"Really, which school is best for me, which school I can fit in the best, and have a better chance of starting and make an impact on the team," says the 6-foot-1, 175 pounder who is looking only at Virginia Tech and North Carolina.

"I had an inhome visit yesterday with Coach Browning from Carolina. He came to the school earlier, and we talked about football, and grades, and what I have to do to get in, and what's going to happen if I go. What kind of schedule I'm going to have. We talked about the tutors that are going to work with me and academic people that stay on top of me and help me."

Virgil said that Virginia Tech will make their in-home visit next week, and he has yet to set that date. He already has visited the Hokies and is talking with North Carolina about setting up his official visit.

"It is sometime in January," he said. "I don't know what the date I'm going to set yet. I took one to Virginia Tech when they played West Virginia. I'm probably going to decide during the Christmas break."
