Two Tar Heel Pros articles

The Chapel Hill News this morning retells the familiar story of Jeff McInnis' rise to the NBA.

"I think people misunderstood me, my attitude and the way I was," said the 6-foot-4 McInnis, who is now the starting point guard and one of the key players on a Clippers franchise that is in the hunt for a playoff berth for the first time since 1997.

"They mistook me for having a bad attitude, when all I really was was frustrated with my play and not winning. Anyone who remembers me from my college days, knows that I've always worked hard.

Kevin Salvadori, meanwhile, is playing with the Kansas City Knights in the ABA.

"Oh yes, everybody has been giving me a hard time," Salvadori said. "I just brush it off because I know it's been a long time coming for people who have been hoping for Carolina to be down ...

"Some of these guys who are making fun of Carolina you don't even know what college they went to, like Pacific," Salvadori said while laughing hard. "What has Pacific ever done?"
