Heels Still Lead For McKeen

Shea McKeen enjoyed his visit to Purdue this past weekend. It was the second visit for the 6-6, 245-pound jumbo athlete from Princeton (N.J.).

"It was a good visit," he said. "It was pretty quiet without a whole lot going on. I did get a chance to see the campus and get a feel for the area."

McKeen visited North Carolina the week before visiting Purdue. So how did the Purdue visit stack up against the UNC trip?

"Oh, North Carolina still leads," McKeen replied. "I really like the campus, the town, the players, and the coaches there. It's a good fit for me."

He is not quite ready to commit, however, as he has several other visits in the works.

"I have a date in January set with Miami and I'm looking to set visits up with Missouri and South Carolina," McKeen said. "It's possible that I could decide to go ahead and commit before my next visit, though. Depends on if I decide it's time to pick a school or go through all or at least some more of my visits."

McKeen's popularity has skyrocketed among college coaches once his film was sent out for review this fall. The North Carolina staff was the first to offer him a scholarship.
