"…we broke down their offense and got some breakaways. We did a great job on the glass. We just took them out of what they wanted to run."

On his dunk over a VT player:
"Somebody said that was a great dunk. I said it was the best of my career. I finally got one. I'm just glad that Coach [Williams] called that play. I knew I was going to be wide open. I haven't dunked on somebody since I've been here. There's been some other people around, but not chest-to chest. I told him, ‘Welcome to the ACC, baby.' He said, ‘I'm going to come right back at you.' But it felt real good to get an ACC win."

"They played great defense. But that's one of our strengths to go inside. It was tough. Virginia Tech is a real good team. But we played well, too. But it was physical. We just wanted to stay focused."

"We just wanted to go out and play our game and hope for a win. We did a good job of playing defense and got the win. We just had to bounce back and keep our composure. Other guys stepped up when Rashad [McCants] wasn't having a good night. But he was playing good defense. They have a great program. They're going to go out there and compete just like every other team in the ACC."
