The Tar Heels' coaching staff scored big in the Jonathan Hannah sweepstakes this past weekend. Hannah, who has already officially visited Clemson and Virginia Tech, claimed his official trip to Chapel Hill "ranked as one of the best ones." "Just about everything [took place] really," explained Hannah. "I got to talk to the players. I got to know the coaches a little better then I have known them. It was really good visit."

Being the huge basketball fan that he is (and a potential walk-on to the hoops team), the highlight of Hannah's visit was the North Carolina-Maryland basketball game, in which the Scout.com four-star tight end was given the VIP treatment.

"I got to talk to Coach [Roy] Williams on the floor while the team was warming up. I got to meet the players after the game."

Another dimension of the trip that stood out was Hannah's host. The North Carolina coaching staff hand-picked friend and former recruit Cam Sexton, who recently enrolled in UNC for the spring semester, to host Hannah.

"It was fun [having Sexton as a host]," remarked Hannah. "We were just making jokes the entire time."

Hannah will wrap up his official visits schedule with a trip to South Carolina next weekend followed by a visit to N.C. State.

As planned, the 6-foot-5, 255-pounder has limited his list of favorites to three schools, but isn't quite ready to reveal the names found on that list. However, Hannah did mention that North Carolina had made the final cut.
