"Needless to say, we are very happy with any ACC win, and an ACC win on the road we are very happy to get.

"In this league you have to be ready to play every night, and they were more aggressive than us and really took it to us in the first half. We were not ready for their intensity early in the game.

"It wasn't the happiest halftime locker room we have ever had for the coaching staff, but our guys came out and played very focused in the second half. We were much more pleased in the second half. Rashad McCants hit some big threes for us and we were able to beat the pressure and get some easy ones after halftime.

"We weren't nearly as aggressive in the first half as they were. We were not ready for their intensity. They took it to us. We got on our heels and played the whole first half that way.

"We were so much more focused in the second half. We were able to break their press and get some easy ones.

"To have a great season, we need to win some ugly. I didn't think our defense was 'great.' We're a little bit better [than last year], but not a lot better.

"I'm extremely happy with the the road win, but I'm extremely ticked off about the way we played. We stunk it up."
