"[Coach Williams] let us have it. We focused and regrouped. He was happy because we won it, and that we came into a hostile environment and answered the challenge. But he was disappointed in our play.
"He just told us, ‘I'm not going to give in; I'm not going to quit ever.'
"We would have lost this game last year. We would not have been tough enough to live up to the challenge.
"We were just sloppy and didn't take care of the ball in the first half. Ray had four turnovers, I had a bunch of turnovers."
"It was just about guys finishing hard. Marvin [Williams] stopped pump faking, started jumping over people and he got a lot of dunks. We got everybody to do that in the second half.
"Yeah, Coach was upset with my first half turnovers. He told us to bring more intensity into the second half. It was not necessarily bad passes, I just need to make the easy play.
"They did play with more intensity than us in the last 10 minutes of the first half."
"This is not the same team as last year's. We came out differently and we won the game. It's very simple. We play harder. Last year our team came down here…and they shot the ball excellent, you can't take anything away from them – 11 of 13 from ‘three,' but we just wanted to play hard in the second half and take those kinds of things away from them. We played harder than they did.
"We weren't competing as hard as we were supposed to [in the first half]. We weren't playing as hard as we were supposed to.
"I'm just trying to be a basketball player. We have a great team. We don't need me to go out and score 30 points per game."
"It feels good to get away from here with a win, considering some of the things that have happened here in the past. It feels good to get a road win period. I heard that N.C. State lost at Virginia Tech, so that's a tough thing – to get a road win in the ACC. It feels good.
"Everybody picked it up [in the second half]. Guys started playing hard. Sean and Marvin hit the boards hard. We picked it up on defense."
