Arnold is being recruited as a running back for the Tar Heels.
"They want me to come to Chapel Hill this summer to start lifting weights and bulk up some," he said.
Arnold, named to the all-state team on both sides of the ball, was a big part of the Davie County offense in 2004 and also played in the North Carolina/South Carolina Shrine Bowl.
Arnold plans on visiting Chapel Hill unofficially before he enrolls in the summer.
"I think I might come to Chapel Hill for the Miami [basketball] game," he said. "I am done with recruiting and will not take any other visits."
