Hemby Torn Between Two

As of Tuesday evening, North Carolina cornerback prospect Jordan Hemby says he is "torn right down the middle" between the Tar Heels and Gators.

"I'm looking at books on both colleges right now," Hemby told Inside Carolina from his home. "The thing that is making it so hard for me is that they both have a good college atmosphere where they're located. They both have nice facilities and nice programs, and I like both of the coaches."

Hemby said he still plans to make his decision public Wednesday at 11 a.m. and that he will not fax his National Letter of Intent until after the announcement.

IC will be on hand to relay the news immediately following his declaration.

In the meantime, Hemby said he's screening calls.

"I'm really not answering my phone tonight," he said.

He went on to discuss his reasons for his current indecision: "I like Coach [Marvin] Sanders, because I got to know him over the last couple of months. At Florida, I like the college atmosphere, the fans, the facilities and the weight room."

When asked if this was the hardest decision he's ever had to make in his life, Hemby said, "Yes. I heard this was [going to be a difficult process], but I didn't think it would be for me. It was easy; then it got crazy. Now I'm like, ‘Oh God…' This is the hardest thing I've ever gone through in my life.

"When this is over, I'm going to be so happy."
