UNC Hires Brock

Dave Brock will be announced Tuesday afternoon as the newest addition to the North Carolina football coaching staff.

Brock comes to Chapel Hill after three seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Temple.

Temple's spread offense set school records for passing first downs (135) and total plays (859) under Brock in 2003.

His recruiting responsibilities at Temple included Northern California junior colleges, as well as Northern New Jersey and New York State.

Brock played linebacker at Ferrum (Va.) College and began his coaching career in 1988 at Salisbury (Md.) State.
