"Me and my parents have been talking about committing in September or October," explained Woodlief. "Or I might just wait until a year from now."
If the Tar Heels' coaching staff is able to steal Woodlief's February signature they will add a hardnosed inside linebacker to their 2006 recruiting class.
"Great instincts, Woodlief has a true nose for the football and does well in traffic to shed blocks," commented Scout.com recruiting Analyst Miller Safrit. "A heady player, who uses his mind to make plays."
On his way to leading Bandys High School to the 2A State semi-finals, Woodlief recorded 151 tackles and eight sacks.
