State Playoffs: William Graves

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Dudley thought it going to cruise to a win in Wednesday's 3-A Eastern Regional semifinal at Minges Coliseum against South Johnston.

The Panthers led by double-digits in the third quarter and were holding South Johnston at bay in the fourth until a quick run capped by a three-pointer in the final minute closed the gap to just three points.

That's when Dudley turned to its reliable junior, William Graves, who hit all four free throws in the final minute to preserve the 72-67 win.

Next up for Dudley is a fourth meeting with Kernersville (N.C.) Glenn – but this one is for the regional championship. Tip-off is Saturday at 3 p.m. at Minges Coliseum.
