Women beat State, 80-71

UNC's star duo of Corretta Brown and Nikki Teasley once again carried the day, as the No. 24 Tar Heels upended N.C. State, 80-71, at Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday.

Brown and Teasley each scored 23 points in Carolina's first road win against the Wolfpack since the 1993-94 season.

The Heels jumped out to an early lead and never trailed.

Carolina outrebounded the Pack, 41-33, and forced 19 turnovers.

Brown and Teasley also combined for nine threes and 12 assists.

The Tar Heels improved to 19-6 and 8-4 in the ACC. NC State is now 11-12 and 5-7.
