Evtimov moves to Russia

According to a report by <i>Telebasket</i>, former Tar Heel Vasco Evtimov has added another country to his international resumé.

Evtimov has signed to play the rest of this season with Ural Great Perm (Perm, Russia) of the Russian Superleague.

Although, due to his late acquisition by Ural Great, Evtimov is not eligible to participate in the Russian Superleague and will only play for his new team in Euroleague and Northern European Basketball League (NEBL) Open games.

Vasco leaves Skipper Fortitudo Bologna of the Italian A1 League after playing in 20 games and averaging 8.9 points and 6.7 rebounds as a power forward and center.

In Euroleague competition with Fortitudo this season Evtimov played in 11 games, scored 6.8 ppg and grabbed 5.7 rpg.

Last year Evtimov played in Greece for Dafni and for Maroussi.
