Jawad Williams expected to play against Clemson

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The University of North Carolina freshman forward Jawad Williams is expected to be available to play on Wednesday night against Clemson, UNC men's basketball trainer Marc Davis said on Monday.

Williams injured his left wrist as he fell hard to the floor during the second half of Sunday night's game at NC State. He sat out the rest of the game on the Tar Heel bench with ice on his wrist. X-rays taken on Monday were negative, and Williams is expected to play in Wednesday night's game with the Tigers.

Wednesday's game will be the final home game of the 2001-02 season for Carolina.
