Felton, Latta advance in SC playoffs

The Latta Vikings continued their determined march through South Carolina's 1A state playoffs with a 117-57 win over Baptist Hill (Hollywood, SC) on Tuesday night.

The overmatched Baptist Hill team could not stop All-American Raymond Felton or his teammates, with Felton scoring 38 points on 65% shooting. Felton had five three pointers, seven rebounds, seven assists and six steals in the blowout.

Next up for Latta and Felton are Scott's Branch (SC) at Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina on Friday. In two prior meetings this season, Latta defeated Scott's Branch 114-65 (December 17th) with Raymond notching a triple double (30 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists). In the second match of the season (January 8th), Felton did not play due to a fracture of his right hand with Latta squeezing by with a 62-60 victory.
