May leads Bloomington North to sectional win

Bloomington North rode the torrid shooting of UNC signee, Sean May, to a 73-42 postseason sectional victory over Columbus North on Tuesday night.

May racked up yet another sizzling double-double, scoring 22 points on 90% shooting from the field (9-10 FG), grabbing ten rebounds and adding four of five free throws. May also had five assists, three blocks and three steals.

According to Debbie May and true to Sean's "team-first" mentality, May felt he played a really good game, but more importantly "they are coming together as a team in the postseason, where it is working for everybody."

Bloomington North's (21-2) postseason march to the Indiana state championship continues in sectionals on Friday night, March 1st, at 6:00 p.m. versus Columbus East at the Columbus North high school campus. They lost to Columbus East, 60-50, just two weeks ago, despite May scoring 29 points and grabbing 12 rebounds -- setting the stage for a great high school matchup this weekend.

Should Bloomington North prevail in Friday's contest, they will face the winner of East Central vs. Franklin in Class 4A Sectional 14's championship game.
