Football Opener Under the Lights

The University of North Carolina opens the 2005 football season on September 10 at Georgia Tech with a 3:30 start time. The game will be televised regionally by ABC.

One week later, the Tar Heels open the home portion of their schedule against the University of Wisconsin Badgers. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be nationally televised by ESPN2.

Those two starting times were announced today by the ACC.

The remaining games include: Sept. 24 at NC State, Oct. 1 vs. Utah, Oct. 8 at Louisville, Oct. 22 vs. Virginia, Oct. 29 at Miami, Nov. 5 vs. Boston College, Nov. 12 vs. Maryland, Nov. 19 vs. Duke and Nov. 26 at Virginia Tech.

Starting times for those games will be released by the ACC approximately two weeks before the day of the game.
