While McDonald has since removed Carolina from his wish list, Elliott and Pronty are still very interested. In fact, Elliott has the Tar Heels as his front runner.
"Carolina is at the top of my list," Elliott said. "I can't wait to come down there in July. I like what Richard Quinn has told me about their program."
Mustangs coach Jeff Rotsky said of his five seniors which are legitimate Division I prospects, Elliott is the most gifted.
During his annual summer press conference last Wednesday, John Bunting said he anticipated visits from Ohio prospects; and since school ends late in other states, UNC will host another camp next month.
The UNC coaches will wait until then to decide if they will offer Elliott and/or Pronty.
Elliott will also visit Bowling Green, Akron, Pittsburgh, Eastern Michigan and Wisconsin. While he doesn't have any offers as yet, his coach said Wisconsin and Northwestern have recently turned up the heat on his recruitment.
Pronty received his first offer on Sunday from Bowling Green. Along with UNC, he plans to visit Bowling Green, Pittsburgh, Kent State, Eastern Michigan, Wisconsin and Akron.
