Nike Camp: Raymar Morgan Spotlight

A new player on the North Carolina recruiting radar is forward Raymar Morgan. The 6-7 product of Canton (Ohio) McKinley has put together a terrific week at Nike and is enjoying the chance to get a little national exposure.

"It always feels good to get some exposure, I'm finally getting a chance to showcase my talent," said Morgan. "I'm more of a slasher than anything but I also pass and my jump shot has definitely improved."

Not really a classic small forward, or a power forward, Morgan blends a nice inside/outside game together with tremendous effort. He's a good athlete who was content with his list of Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, UConn, Arizona and Pitt but was interested when he got a call from North Carolina.

"I actually got a phone call from North Carolina right before I came here," Morgan told Inside Carolina. "So, they're right up there with my top schools if they recruit me after camp."

According to Morgan the Heels just recently became aware of him and are interested to find out more about his game.

"They said they would be watching me here," said Morgan. "They saw me at the And 1 national tournament and they say they like my overall game."

While there would be some ground to make up for the Heels to make a serious impact on his recruitment, Morgan isn't shutting the door just yet.

"I'm not really worried about anybody getting in late," said Morgan. "I know what I can do and getting into a good school is all that matters."
