White To Camp At UNC

Taking a break from summer workouts and college one-day camps, Johnny White made a morning trip to the local video game store to obtain his copy of EA Sports' NCAA Football 2006.

"I've been playing NCAA all day long," said White. "I use Tennessee. I don't know why – I like them, too."

White, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound tailback from Asheville (N.C.), might use the Volunteers in NCAA 2006, but it's the Tar Heels' that garner the crown as White's current favorite.

"Right now [the Tar Heels] are my leader," said White. "Really, they are the only school I've been able to experience – you know be around, and I talk to the coaches a lot."

With North Carolina being the clear cut favorite, rumors continue to circulate that White has become the tenth member of the Tar Heels' 2006 recruiting class. However, White vehemently denies.

"No I haven't committed to Carolina," said White. "I probably won't make a decision until Signing Day. It probably will be earlier than that, but no time soon. I'm going to the camp this weekend, but I doubt I'll commit there."

White has not made unofficial visits to the two other schools that have extended him a scholarship offer – Arkansas and South Carolina.
