Josh Adams, the highly ranked running back from Cary (N.C.) visited North Carolina for its July football camp on Friday.
"I worked out with Coach [Andre'] Powell some and he taught me some techniques to use when competing against faster players in college," Adams said.
"The ankle was feeling pretty good until hurt it a little cutting at the Wake Forest 7-on-7 competition Saturday. I just need to get my Achilles all set. I think I will be ready to go by fall practice."
Adams says he has not yet narrowed down his recruitment
"I'm still wide open," he said. "I plan to go to some games and visit schools that I have not had a chance to see yet. I know some schools are talking about sending some tickets so that I will have a chance to go."
Adams and his Cary Imps play there first preseason game Aug. 11 at 4:30 p.m. home against Northwood High School.
