Lebo withdraws name from WVU consideration

Former Tar Heel standout Jeff Lebo has decided to remain the head coach at Tennessee Tech, withdrawing his name from consideration for the head coaching vacancy at West Virginia (link).

On Thursday, the Charleston Gazette published a list of the top six likely candidates to get the job in Morgantown. Since then, Lebo (1) is no longer interested, Kent State's Stan Heath (2) is off to Arkansas, and WVU was denied permission to speak with Wyoming's Steve McClain (5).

The three candidates remaining from the list of six are:
3. Dan Dakich, Bowling Green
4. Bruce Weber, Southern Illinois
6. Doug Wojcik, North Carolina

ESPN's Andy Katz reported yesterday that WVU may be favoring Dakich at this point. It also should be noted that the Mountaineers AD is in Atlanta this weekend and may return from the Final Four festivities with additional candidates.
